Pride at the Pictures

This year, Liverpool Pride along with Barefoot Wine, UNISON North West, FACT and Picturehouse at FACT launch Pride at the Pictures with a series of LGBT films.

The films, which include two North West premiere screenings will be shown at Picturehouse@FACT over a two week period, from Tuesday 2nd – Monday 15th August.

Three of the films, Jan's Coming Out (Tuesday 2nd August), The Cost of Love (Sunday 7th August) and Break My Fall (Mon 8th August) will be followed by Q and A sessions, giving the audience the chance to get to know more about the film. Break My Fall is also the first fundraiser for Liverpool Pride 2012.

Joan Burnett, Trustee of Liverpool Pride said: “Picturehouse and FACT have been brilliant partners in producing this short season of LGBT film: funny, inspirational, dramatic, these films are fresh for Liverpool. The Cost of Love and Break My Fall are both North West premiers and show LGBT life as it is in the UK today with great original soundtracks and strong stories. Jan's Coming Out will make you punch the air, and then the Liverpool Pride time machine will whisk you back to the '60's, '70's and '80's with The Cockettes and Born in 68”
