Become a Liverpool Pride Volunteer 2014
Liverpool Pride is a registered charity which organises an annual festival and different community events throughout the year which supports and involves lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. We are an entirely volunteer-led organisation and volunteers are at the centre of everything we do
In August 2010, 21,000 people attended the inaugural Liverpool Pride festival and by 2013, our number had swelled to 65,000! This means there's plenty of great opportunities to get involved, develop your skills and learn new ones.
We have some specific roles to fill to help us deliver this year’s Festival, but we also have long-term roles helping us develop as an organisation, including roles as Trustees.
Some of the roles we have at present are:
we have an active team of fundraisers working on everything from shaking buckets and packing bags at local supermarkets to writing funding bids and arranging sponsorship
Liverpool Pride holds a great information and entertainment market on our big day – join us to help make it the best ever!
Community Zone Team
As well as the ticketed area, we will be offering a free zone for people who don’t wish to enter the three stage areas. We need a team to help us deliver this and make it fun and fabulous.
Marketing and Distribution
Our March and festival will be the best yet this year and we need a team of people to help us get the message out there! We’re looking for people who want to develop their graphic design skills as well as marketeers and distribution workers.
Our big day needs 200 volunteers! Everyone from the set-up and set-down teams, March stewards, stewards for the three stage areas and survey interviewers.
All of the above need support – come and join our office team to keep everything on track.
Film Programme and Website
Pride at the Pictures is growing and needs so more film enthusiasts to come on board. We need people to help programme, present and write about the films we show.
Join the team and help shape Liverpool Pride this year and into the future!
Finally, a huge thank you to our current volunteers, some of whom have been in the team since the beginning in 2010 – nothing could happen without them!
