OUTreach Liverpool Project
North Liverpool Citizens Advice Bureaux (NLCAB) has been awarded three years’ funding from the Big Lottery Fund for the OUTreach Liverpool project. This project will provide a quality generalist advice service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community through outreach work.
The following posts are needed to deliver this innovative local initiative.
607465 OUTreach Liverpool Advisor x 2
(28 hours per week, Salary: £17,776pa)
We need two experienced and motivated advisers to set up and provide advice sessions at LGBT venues across the city. This is a challenging role requiring the postholders to work to targets, and deal with a wide range of LGBT people with a wide range of advice needs. The successful applicants will have a proven ability to deliver generalist advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing and other issues, and experience of social policy work. Evening and weekend work is an important part of this project, and the postholders will also be responsible for supervising a small team of advice volunteers.
607467 OUTreach Liverpool Coordinator
(21 Hours per week, Salary £14,788)
This challenging role requires a track record in engaging with communities to promote and develop a quality advice service. The postholder will engage with local LGBT and other community groups and organisations to negotiate the setting up of outreach advice services. They will be responsible for collecting and collating project information for management and funder reports and monitoring. They will facilitate the project steering group and be responsible for the evaluation of the project using a social accounting framework. Other duties include staff & volunteer supervision and training to outside agencies.
