Our friends at the Michael Causer Foundation and Homotopia.tv have made available a video of the Second Anniversary Vigil for Michael Causer for those who were unable to attend the event.
Over 200 people gathered at Liverpool Town Hall to mark the occasion in a vigil of remembrance to hear friends of Michael and others within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community speak at the event, including Mickey Harmwell and Danielle Reed, two of Michael's friends, spoke of their memories and of his loss on the Causer family.
The Foundation aims to set up a safe house for young LGB&T people aged 15 - 25
Michael's mother Marie said: “I want the money people have donated in Michael’s memory to be used to help young people. These youngsters need somewhere to go where they feel safe and are surrounded by people who have gone through a similar experience.
“I did not want a stone or a plaque to be put up in his memory. I wanted to do something worth doing and I am very lucky to have the support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community behind me,” .
Liverpool for this kind of housing."
