Special General Meeting

Liverpool Pride is a registered charity, and as part of our commitment to upholding our values and constitution we are required to have an Annual General Meeting. At the last AGM in December, we had to defer the election of trustees to the Board, so we are holding a Special General Meeting to allow for this and give you more information on what is coming up at this years festival.
Liverpool Pride is governed by a Board of Trustees elected at our AGM by our membership. Any person or organisation can apply to become a member if they meet one of three conditions set out in our Memorandum an Articles of Association, the legal document defining what we can, and cannot do. Anyone is welcome to attend the SGM but only members can formally vote. Please email email@example.com if you wish to apply to be a member.
The current Board, elected on 11/01/2012 are:
Zoran Blackie, Chair
Matt Wilson, Deputy Chair
At time of writing three of our trustees will be standing down so we are in a process of looking to recruit new trustees to our Board. We can have up to 12 trustees on the board, and If you would like to express an interest in a trustee role, you can email the Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Zoran on 07977562314. Similarly if you are intereted in volunteering and/or getting involved with one of our committees (including the Event Organising, Comms and Marketing, Volunteering and Fundraising and Policy & Governance committees) please do get in touch.
We will expect potential trustees to fill out an application form and a brief statement that can be used to support election to the Board of Trustees, as well as be in attendance for the Special General Meeting unless there are exceptional circumstances.
And if that wasn't all exciting enough to entice you to the event, our very good friends at Barefoot Wine will be supplying drinks for attendees, so look forward to seeing you.
