Pride Goes On: Sunday Chill Out

I can't even speak about how wonderful yesterday was - I was so proud of LIverpool as a city and Pride as an event and all of the people who took part for being gorgeous and bringing a truly fabulous spirit to the day.

Pride continues today with the Chill Out events - sporting endeavour at Wavertree Sports Centre and art events across the city. The Lisbon have a chill out music programme this afternoon - god knows how after their heroic efforts yesterday - all power to the Lisbon elbow! I saw queues for the Lisbon, Navy Bar, Superstar Boudoir, Masquerade, Puzzle, G Bar, Garlands, Pink....and ended my night dancing like a loon in the Curzon - marvellous!

Tonight, the Festival winds down at FACT with The Fruit Machine, Frank Clarke's dreamy film of young gay lives and loves, escape and dolphins...intrigued? Come on down for 7pm for a wonderful slice of nostalgia and the surprising feeling that some of the comments in the film are way ahead of their time. I'm sure the bar will be like a massive '80's Liverpool reunion...
Tickets are £10 and include a free drink at the aftershow party at 33-45 Parr Street. The price also supports the work that Clapperboard does with young people across LIverpool - hurrah!
Thanks to Clapperboard, Picturehouse@FACT, Outsiders and Homotopia for collaborating on this lovely event - see you there !
love, Joan
